Blue Lights
An autobiogaphic walking simulator
Task
The task was to create an autobiographical walking simulator to learn about Unreal Engine 5 and worldbuilding.

Programmes applied
- Unreal Engine 5
- Blender
- Adobe Substance Painter 3D
- Clipstudio Paint
Autobiographical context
The prototype is based on a memory from my childhood: On the day of the Christmas party, when I was ten years old, I learned at school that there was an ambulance in front of our house.
Concerned about my grandmother, I tried in vain to reach my family; the anticipation of the celebration was suddenly unimportant. It wasn't until the end of the day that I learned the truth: My grandma was fine, and my little brother was born.
Technical work process

Collecting ideas
At first I had a lot of ideas, but I didn't want to implement any of them because they were either too personal or too emotional for me.
Then I came up with the idea of telling about the birth of my brother and decided to implement it.
Greyboxing
As I learned in class, I implemented my idea in Unreal Engine as greyboxing.
Even at this point, I was shaping the school building with students as obstacles.
3 D Assets & Textures
Little by little I worked out and replaced objects.

Small mechanics
As a little insider between me and my brother, I have included collectables. Collectible spinning dice with a frog on them. Not just any frog, but the very one he's had with him since birth.

Thank you, Phillip – for this day and everything after.
