Mobile Game
With a focus on mechanics
Task
The goal was to develop a prototype for a mobile game with a focus on the game mechanics.
Starting with a verb, a central main mechanic will be designed that determines the gaming experience. The verb, from PizzaRun! originated was „to carry“.
Visual design (aesthetics) is not the main focus.

The idea
The game concept is based on an Endless Runner, in which the player character delivers pizzas on foot. The pizzas function as a life system: Every lost pizza corresponds to a lost life. The game ends as soon as no more pizzas are worn. The goal is to survive as long as possible and cover a great distance.
High score system
The distance covered is calculated as a score
recorded. The goal is to achieve one's own best performance
surpass or match with other players
compete.

Motivation
In PizzaRun! Speed, reaction, and strategy are paramount, motivating the end of the game on several levels:
- The desire to improve one's own performance (high score)
- Competition with others through the high score system and a ranking
This combination of self-optimization, competition, and reward creates a motivating flow of play that constantly invites you to continue playing.
Endless Level
The level expands automatically by placing small instances in front of each other. At the same time, the elements behind the player disappear automatically to save performance.
